This cross between a Zombia and Cocothrinax crinita (old man palm) is rather interesting as it shows what to the lay person are the identifying characteristics of both palms. It is a clustering palm as is Zombia and has the gorgeous woven thatch of Zombia but has tufts of hair as crinita in place of the toothpick like thorns of Zombia giving it ringed tuffs of hairlike protuberances up the entirety of all the stems
